Above is the original of a sunset on the lake. Below is the photo I adjusted. First I changed the levels. I then played a little with the hue/saturation. I really liked the way the photo looked when I adjusted the red hues.
When working with this photo I forgot to make a copy. :( So you can't see the original image. In the original there was no color other that white and brown. While playing with the hues adjustment I was able to make the green in the trees show up. I really like there color against the bland colors of the rest of the trees.
So, my daughter thinks out cat is one of her baby dolls. I captured this picture when she was pushing her around in her doll stroller. Amazing enough I think the cat enjoys it. This top picture is the original.
In this lower picture I first darken the background using the levels option in Photoshop. I then cropped the photo. I wanted to make the colors more vibrant so I adjusted them in the hue/saturation option. I lessen the red hue, increased the saturation and darken it a bit. I like how the colors really pop in this picture now.

ReplyDeleteI really like how you adjusted the color on the picture of the cat. Having the background darkened is nice because the main object of the picture (the cat) stands out more. Also by increasing the saturation and adjusting the colors more I feel that the cats colors stand out better.
The first two pictures I like. I think you put just enough color in the second color to make it a really great photo that looks real.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing several different lighting/ coloring edited photo's I like how you really changed each one making it very different! I agree with Paula the second is my favorite
